Recycling is the processing or treatment of reusable materials to make suitable for reuse. Through a series of changes or treatments the reusable materials are made into entirely new products ready for redistribution. Recycling reduces the amount of natural resources consumed to make a new product, which results in less energy use and a reduced carbon footprint.
The three arrows in a triangle moving in the same direction is the internationally recognized recycling symbol. Each arrow stands for one of the three processes of recycling, collection to re-manufacturing to resale of new products.
